Baruch Gottlieb
the pattern Series
This is an art project
The computerized demos you see here should give you an indication of the possible scale and extent of the project.
Every exhibition of this work rearticulates the environment where it is held, and can be scaled up or down dependant on the budget and other context.

The work is cross-media, using such divergent materials and processes as:

industrial large-scale printing
vinyl bus-wraps
computer print on canvas
various web media strategies
radio and tv-oriented interventions
site-specific installations and performances
live and recorded music
text.
the legacy of violence and mourning, a pattern?
Floral 2001
illuminated offset print on paper
0,8m x 1,4m
a technique which allowed me to pinpoint and resonate a kind of simple relation I found salient in an image.
The manipulations became patterns based on two main elements - arousal and interest.
As I created the folder for these accumulating images and named it 'pattern' other patterns in my life seemed to crystallize referentially around the name , coming into kaleidoscopic constellation.
pattern:
The black box of the psyche transmutes repressed desire into obsessions, habits and odd mannerisms.
Each have their way of reinforcing a justification self-submission mantra.
Standerstrip 2000

2,2mx12m

Stander 2000

patterns appear on the biography, a texture of experiences.
